North Korea Reportedly Prepares New Military Support for Russia

Regional military intelligence has reportedly detected increased activity along the North Korea–Russia border near the Tumen River, raising concerns that Pyongyang may be preparing to send additional personnel and military supplies to support Moscow.

Ukrainian officials and allied governments have previously warned that North Korea could deploy more troops to replace battlefield losses and reinforce Russian forces in the Kursk region, where North Korean personnel have reportedly fought alongside Russian troops.

The latest activity has also fueled speculation that Pyongyang could be preparing additional deliveries of artillery ammunition, missile systems and other military equipment to Russia as military cooperation between the two countries deepens.

However, the reported movements have not been independently confirmed as a new North Korean troop deployment. Regional intelligence agencies are continuing to monitor developments along the border.
