North Korean Leader’s Sister Denies Talks With ‘Hostile’ U.S.
🇰🇵🇺🇸 : Kim Yo Jong, the powerful sister of North Korean leader Kim Jong Un, has rejected reports of possible talks between Pyongyang and Washington, insisting that North Korea has no reason to engage in negotiations with what she described as a “hostile” United States.
Kim Yo Jong reportedly dismissed suggestions that Pyongyang could resume dialogue with Washington, emphasizing that North Korea’s position toward the United States remains unchanged.
Her remarks signal that Pyongyang is currently unwilling to pursue diplomatic engagement with the Trump administration, despite renewed speculation over possible U.S.–North Korea contacts.
Kim Yo Jong has previously played a prominent role in communicating North Korea’s foreign-policy positions, particularly on relations with the United States and South Korea.
The latest statement could further complicate any effort by Washington to revive direct diplomacy with Pyongyang, amid continuing tensions over North Korea’s nuclear weapons program, ballistic-missile development and military cooperation with Russia.
