NRPUP MAZABUKA YOUTH CHAIRMAN OBRAIN NYAMBE ARRESTED OVER ALLEGED THEFT AT CIVIC CENTRE
NRPUP Mazabuka District Youth Chairman Obrain Nyambe was reportedly picked up by Zambia Police this evening in connection with an alleged theft from a vehicle at the Mazabuka Civic Centre.
Nyambe is alleged to have taken advantage of the crowded conditions at the Mazabuka Municipal Council premises following delays in the Electoral Commission of Zambia (ECZ) accreditation programme currently taking place at the council.
According to information available, some police officers who noticed Nyambe’s alleged suspicious conduct in the car park questioned him. He reportedly fled but was later apprehended at the entrance to the Town Clerk’s office.
Nyambe is currently in police custody, while officers are yet to issue an official statement on the matter.
