NRPUP PARLIAMENTARY CANDIDATE VOWS TO PETITION CHINGOLA WEST ELECTION RESULTS.

By Mercy Mulenga

NRPUP Chingola West Parliamentary Candidate Borris Chansa, has accused UPND candidate Mulenga Chipoka of stealing what he described as a hard-earned victory.

This follows the declaration of Mr. Chipoka as the winner by the presiding officer, despite concerns and calls from NRPUP observers and other stakeholders to have the results verified before the announcement.

Mr. Chansa, is alleged to have won in five of the eight wards in the constituency, raising questions over the transparency of the electoral process and the conduct of ECZ officers.

Mr. Chansa, has since vowed to petition the results, saying he has already engaged his lawyers to ensure that the announced results are cross-checked against those indicated on the Gen 20 forms.
