NRPUP’S PAVYUMA WINS WUSAKILE PARLIAMENTARY SEAT
NRPUP parliamentary candidate Hon. Pavyuma Kalobo has won the Wusakile Constituency Parliamentary seat in Kitwe defeating UPND candidate Chibesa Katayi in the 2026 General Election.
Kalobo did not physically campaign during the election period due to illness. Much of his campaign was conducted by NRPUP party officials led by his younger brother Cyme Kalobo, popularly known as Commander Cyme.
Despite Kalobo’s absence from the campaign trail, the NRPUP candidate emerged victorious, defeating the UPND candidate and securing the Wusakile seat.
The victory adds to NRPUP’s growing list of reported parliamentary gains on the Copperbelt.
Zambians went to the polls on August 13, 2026, to elect the President, Members of Parliament, mayors, council chairpersons and councillors.
