OPEN LETTER TO THE HEAD OF STATE AND THE INSPECTOR GENERAL OF POLICE.
Dear President Dr. Edgar C. Lungu and IG Mr Kakoma Kanganja
I hope and pray this letter will find you in good faith and health.
I come in peace,
Our founding father Dr KK made an honourable showing in joining the country under the saying, ‘One Zambia One Nation’ it is tragic that some displeased people are keen on eradicating their benefits.
Dr Kaunda and other people who spearheaded the philosophy of ‘One Zambia One Nation’ will confirm that joining a nation is definitely not a simple undertaking.
After freedom and as a method of joining Zambians, Dr Kaunda contrived a conscious procedure to present individuals on work in different regions other than where they started from.
Because of this methodology, today than at any other time we have a ton of intermarriages among the different clans.
The thought by our ancestors was to eradicate the ancestral gap and to make one in number and joined country.
While a fair foundation was laid by our ancestors, it is devastating that some frustrated individuals with little characters need to obliterate this legacy by planting seeds of scorn and tribalism.
A few groups have shown high hazardous degrees of recklessness in their discourse and direct, putting the eventual fate of the country in danger.
We would have imagined that legislators as pioneers would act exemplarily in a way that advances great qualities and solidarity among individuals.
Sadly they are the most noticeably awful offenders with regards to despise discourse and tribalism as seen by the battles among frameworks.
This is presently showing in the democratic examples where individuals vote in favour of clan not the competitor.
It is discouraging that just about 56 years after freedom, we are as yet wrestling with tribalism and disdain discourse as opposed to taking a gander at how we will adjust to new innovative improvements to better our country for people in the future.
It’s undeniably true that tribalism and disdain discourse can possibly destroy a country and delete every one of its accomplishments as seen in the Rwanda Genocides.
Undoubtedly this isn’t what we need for our country. We have buckled down and forfeited such a huge amount to be the place where we are today.
We can’t bear to leave any space for people with little personalities, who can’t see past their restricted and childish interests to jeopardize the successors of this country.
My humble appeal and request to you, your Excellence is to direct the inspector general of Police Mr KK to enforcement the law, this not only ensure that those perpetrating hate speech and tribalism are punished but used as an example to deter would-be offenders.
To the IG Mr. KK sir, there is need to assist the way toward establishing the law to guarantee that crooks keen on diving this country into disturbance are managed appropriately before they satisfy their malevolent expectations.
I wish you God’s grace and guidance as you render your services to the people of Zambia.
Yours Faithfully
