UPND’s Mark Simuuwe say that more UPND members will attend Catholic prayer services wearing UPND-branded shirts and carrying placards written “Vote for HH.
Simuuwe said the supporters would turn up in large numbers and “paint the whole country red.”
The Catholic Church is scheduled to hold a special Mass on 12 August, a day before Zambia’s general election, to pray for peace and peaceful elections.
The Church has also called on Zambians to light candles as part of the prayer for peace.
