Earlier today, together with my running mate, Hon. Makebi Zulu, and other members of the Tonse-Pamodzi Alliance, we had the honour of paying a courtesy call on His Grace, Most Rev. Dr. Alick Banda, Archbishop of the Archdiocese of Lusaka.
We are sincerely grateful to His Grace for receiving us and for the blessings, wisdom and counsel he shared with us ahead of the general elections next week.

The Bishop has never hidden his political inclination from PF to the Tonse group.One thing he must know is that the Catholic church is made up of people with different political inclination.His action are already dividing the very church he is leading,his personal choice of support must not be made to believe that everyone in the church will support him
They are getting a blessing from a disgraced bishop.But HH will be sworn in as President by the honourable Chief Justice and everybody shall then,go home.
That blessing means nothing, you will still get below 20% of votes.
Tonse alliance is a composition of the northerners and the easterners
Looking at Brain and Zulu, there appears to be no genuine relationship between them. They don’t even make eye contact. Their union seems transactional and rooted in mistrust.
The only thing holding them together is a shared opposition to one man — a narrative unfortunately amplified by some faith leaders.
This is a dangerous moment for the country. Ego has overtaken reason and the national interest. The idea of tribal entitlement to the presidency has taken center stage, leaving the motive for candidacy questionable. It no longer looks rooted in a genuine desire to serve the nation.
Consider what happens next:
*If Brain wins*: Trouble will likely start immediately. It’s clear Zulu does not respect Brain and sees himself as the heir to Edgar’s legacy. Power struggles between them will begin, and government performance will suffer. While they fight, ministers and officials will go unsupervised. Many of them were in government during the PF era, and without oversight, plunder will resume. The ordinary citizen will suffer and grow disillusioned. Zulu will keep pushing until he becomes President. Brain either doesn’t see this, or he has a plan we don’t know about.
*If they lose*: They will likely attempt to cause unrest. Some associates may even try to leave the country to regroup with allies outside.
In all honesty, I hope Zambia wins and none of this comes to pass.
The lesson for citizens is simple: The country does not belong to politicians. It belongs to the people. Without citizens, there would be no politicians. So let us stop dancing for and worshipping politicians. Let us hold them accountable instead.
Just wait for your zeros those blessings from a compromised bishop mean nothing to the electorate. God will punish you for using his name in vain. Ingwena ni ngwena. You are the same pf under a new name. Zambians have not forgotten the traumer you put them in during your time. We shall give HH another term that’s all.
He’s just transferred more of a thieving anointing on this wannabe commander inthief and his side kick. This so called bishop is compromised.
