POLICE INVESTIGATES ATTACK ON THE RESIDENCE OF NORTHERN PROVINCE ACTING PS.
Police in Kasama, Northern Province says it is investigating an attack on the residence of Northern Province Acting Permanent Secretary BEAUTY UNDI PHIRI.
The police says the allegedly attack which occurred this afternoon, was carried out by armed supporters of a named political party and one suspect has since been apprehended.
Inspector General of Police GRAPHEL MUSAMBA says while the overall conduct of the elections has been peaceful, there has been isolated incidents of violence which are currently receiving serious attention
Mr. MUSAMBA has warned against incitement, unlawful activities, and the spread of false information, urging citizens to remain calm and allow the Electoral Commission of Zambia (ECZ) to professionally manage and declare results.
