“PROMISE BETRAYED!” CHAMISA BLASTS ZIM AT 46

Zimbabwe’s opposition firebrand Nelson Chamisa has delivered a scathing verdict on the nation’s 46 years of independence, declaring the founding “promise” of freedom and prosperity has been shattered.

In a fiery statement, Chamisa accused the controversial CAB3 reforms of being a “direct assault” on the ideals of liberation once rooted in equality, dignity, justice, and opportunity for all.

He said the dream of “one man, one vote,” strong public services, and unity has given way to deepening poverty, division, and disillusionment. “We are worse off than ever before,” Chamisa warned, painting a bleak picture of a nation struggling under economic hardship and social strain.

Calling for urgent change, he urged citizens to unite behind a new political and constitutional settlement to “restore the Independence Promise.” His rallying cry: Zimbabwe must reclaim its future or risk losing it entirely.
