REPORT: CIA WARNS ISRAEL ON THE BRINK OF CIVIL WAR
A secret CIA assessment reportedly warns that Israel risks sliding into civil war or political collapse as internal divisions deepen after years of war in Gaza, Lebanon, and Iran.
According to sources cited by US-based Drop Site News, the report titled “Fracture From Within” was prepared in August by the CIA’s Red Cell, a unit tasked with challenging conventional thinking and exposing blind spots within the agency.
Key pressures cited ahead of Israel’s October 27 election:
A worsening economic crisis and soaring military spending
Heavily armed veterans returning from prolonged fighting, many with severe psychological trauma
Growing anger over military service exemptions for ultra-Orthodox men
Rising settler violence in the occupied West Bank
Netanyahu’s struggle to stay in power, which the report says is fueling a constitutional crisis
Notably, the assessment appears to focus only on Jewish citizens in Israel and excludes Arab citizens, who make up about 20% of the population. The CIA declined to comment.
