Musukwa Released, Celestine Taken to Mwembeshi

Former Minister of Mines and Minerals Development, Richard Musukwa has been released on police bond.

He has been charged with the alleged offence of conspiracy to commit a felony.

Also released is Roosevelt Tonga,President of the the Third Liberation Movement (3rd LM), who has been in prolonged detention since August 14th August 2026.

Tonse-Pamodzi Alliance Secretary General Celestine Mukandila who has been held for many weeks on an fabricated immigration charge has been transferred to Mwembeshi Prison.

Government canceled both his passport and the National Registration Card (NRC) and has attempted to deport him to the DRC.



Mukandila’s relief in the Lusaka High Court have been ignored and despite the court orders for his release he remains in detention
