Russia Intensifies Missile and Drone Strikes on Ukraine Following Failed CIA Director’s Visit to Moscow
According to The Washington Post, Russia intensified its missile and drone attacks against Ukraine following an unsuccessful visit to Moscow by CIA Director John Ratcliffe, which was reportedly aimed at influencing the Kremlin’s position and encouraging movement toward negotiations.
Citing U.S. officials and sources familiar with the discussions, the newspaper reported that Washington had warned that Russia’s position could become increasingly entrenched if the conflict continued and urged renewed efforts to pursue negotiations.
