RUSSIA LAUNCHES 433 DRONES AT UKRAINE AS HOMES AND ENERGY INFRASTRUCTURE COME UNDER ATTACK

Russia launched 433 drones against Ukraine overnight into 1 November. By 07:30, Ukrainian air defences had shot down or suppressed 371, while more than 40 attack drones remained airborne. Impacts were recorded at 16 locations, with debris falling at another 14.

In Kramatorsk, a separate Russian airstrike late on 31 October destroyed the city executive committee building on Peace Square. The building had survived the occupation and liberation of 2014—a place tied to the city’s history, public life and future.

In Vinnytsia region, Russian attacks targeted energy infrastructure and damaged a mobile communications tower, a private warehouse and residential windows. In Vinnytsia itself, falling drone debris damaged a public transport stop, burned a car and shattered windows in nearby homes.

Russian forces also struck Izium with multiple-launch rockets this morning, damaging more than ten residential buildings. No casualties were reported in that attack.

Kyiv faced further drone activity during the morning, while emergency power cuts were introduced following attacks on the energy system. Repair crews continued working to restore damaged equipment.

Hundreds of interceptions prevented further destruction. Even so, another morning began with damaged homes, disrupted electricity and emergency workers clearing the consequences of Russia’s war.
