RUSSIA RESUMES DEADLY STRIKES ON KYIV AS US PEACE PUSH FAIL

Russia launched a massive missile and drone attack on Kyiv early Tuesday, just hours after a three-day pause in strikes on capitals expired.

At least two people were killed and seven wounded in the assault. Residential buildings, vehicles, garages and warehouses were hit across multiple districts. Fires broke out at an educational institution. People were reportedly trapped inside a damaged residential building.

The attack involved a combination of ballistic missiles, cruise missiles, hypersonic missiles, and jet-powered drones. Strategic bombers were also deployed.

The three-day halt was agreed during a weekend visit by US envoys Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner. They held talks with Putin and Zelensky. No tangible progress was made towards peace.

While the pause in attacks on capitals ended, fighting continued elsewhere. Ukraine also struck civilian infrastructure in Russia’s Saratov region, injuring several people.

Witkoff said substantive progress was made. The Kremlin said it was too early to talk about three-way talks.

The war continues. The peace push has failed. Civilians are paying the price.

When will the world stop sending envoys and start demanding an end to the killing.
