RUSSIA WARNS UK: “YOU ARE PLAYING WITH FIRE”
Moscow has warned London that it could target British military facilities in retaliation for the United Kingdom’s support for Ukraine, including the provision of technology linked to long-range Storm Shadow missiles.
Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova accused Britain and France of “playing with fire” by transferring sensitive missile-related technologies to Kyiv
The British government rejected the threats and said it would not be intimidated by Moscow. The UK Ministry of Defence stressed that Russia should have “no doubt” about London’s determination to oppose Russian aggression, both in Ukraine and against the UK and its allies.
Russia has also warned that the greater Britain’s involvement in the conflict, “the higher the price” it would face, suggesting that deeper British military support for Kyiv could bring consequences for the United Kingdom.
The warnings come as tensions between Moscow and London continue to escalate amid Britain’s expanding military support for Ukraine.
