RUSSIAN FORCES CLAIM TO HAVE ENCIRCLED UKRAINIAN TROOPS NEAR KHARKIV

Russian forces have reportedly encircled another group of Ukrainian troops in the Kharkiv region, according to a report by the Russian military-linked channel Russkaya Vesna.

The report claims Russian units surrounded Ukrainian forces in the northeastern part of the Vovchansk area, with the alleged encirclement covering dozens of square kilometers.

Russian forces also reportedly seized control of key routes used by Ukrainian military vehicles near Orikhiv and struck Ukrainian transport and logistics infrastructure.

Meanwhile, Russia’s Defense Ministry claimed that its air-defense systems destroyed four guided bombs and around 400 Ukrainian drones over a 24-hour period.

Moscow also claimed that Ukrainian forces suffered approximately 1,315 military personnel killed or wounded across the areas of responsibility of Russian military groupings during the same period.
