Russian FPV Drone Chases Civilian Vegetable Seller Through Kherson Market
Ukrainian authorities have released footage showing what they say was a Russian FPV drone pursuing a civilian through an outdoor market in Kherson, southern Ukraine, on August 4, 2026.
According to Ukrainian authorities, the drone flew at low altitude and followed a 52-year-old vegetable seller, identified as Yuri, as he attempted to escape through the market.
The man reportedly tried to use his delivery van as cover, but the drone continued following him before dropping an explosive nearby.
The civilian survived but sustained shrapnel wounds to both legs and his back, as well as a concussion.
Ukrainian officials described the incident as another example of what they call a “human safari” — a term used in reference to repeated drone attacks targeting civilians in Kherson.
The footage and circumstances surrounding the incident have been presented by Ukrainian authorities as evidence of a deliberate attack on a civilian. Independent verification of the full circumstances and intent behind the drone strike remains pending.
