NRPUP presidential candidate Brian Mundubile says school children will be finding books and uniforms at school, sewn by empowered women in the cooperatives under his free education policy
Addressing a mammoth rally in Kitwe today, Mundubile said he wanted to implement quality free education, where classrooms should have a limit of 50 students, while providing free uniforms and books to school going children.
“We shall empower women with sowing machines and capital and you are the ones who will be making uniforms and distributing to schools,” he said.
And Mundubile described policemen who were approaching people wearing facemasks as criminals and cadres, warning that he will fire them all.

Free uniforms and books from where, reserves?
With all his promises, Mr. Mundukbike will deplete within 6 months, the USD6.5Billion the UPND government has worked hard to build as a buffer to mitigate against unforeseen emergencies.
His policies are clearly unsustainable. But he is hoping to dribble his way into state house and thereafter, consolidate his power by whatever means. This man does not mean well for Zambia.
His promises are unrealistic.
Interesting. This interaction gives a window into the strategic thinking of an aspiring candidate who wants to replace his opponent.
It is very funny that he expect to use the generated funds of the present system to bring about what his perceived solutions.
The problem is he needed first to generate this money with proven processess other than what has been already successfully achieved by his opponents. And not use the foundation built by his friends to bring about change which will eventually and enevitably take place all on it own.
Is it no common sense that cooperatives are already being encouraged to come together for this very purpose. What was important for him to discuss and explain tp us the voters is where the funds to help these societies would come from. That is why it was critical to deal with the debt issues left behind by his team. How elses was government to run without solving the debt problem. Is this an admission that this government was spot to deal with the debt issue and that the policy on Education was right all along despite their vehement opposition in Parliament. Logical thinking I feel the candidate just admitted that the foundation for economic developed has been solidly built by this government and that now we can begin to see meaningful development and upgrade in various sectors of our economy.
You can not take other peoples success stories of economic turn around and begin to use it as your strategic plan. This is like stealing an idea from someone and pretending it is yours. In the first place you don’t understand the whole process.
Have you asked yourselves why for instance the Mulungushi Text tile was rebuilt? I am sure we all understand the economic engineering that this will have on an economy that was left dependant on the foreign clothing industry.
These strategic economic decisions are not being made in isolation. There is a complete path way which will impact a whole variety of sectors including the agriculture with high demand on cotton.
Unfortunately In a very narrow view it seems you have chosen to ride on an achievement by the current government worth applauding and without understanding the real fundamentals behind it. Guys be care not to express your ignorance. You may think you are scoring points when in actual fact you only saluting and promoting your opponent for a work well done and making yourself absolutely relevant.
Honestly with what has been arranged just on the space touched above , what exactly is your need on the education side. What exactly do we need to desperately change.
I feel no case has been made to swap what is working for dangerous experiments. Change must make sense.
You might as well just endorse your brother HH work well done in this area.
That is the honest truth. If I am wrong show me your blue print from a holistic point of view while all the problems facing this a country exist and your solutions is shining the light. This is what this government has done with all the things you left wrong were still spinning. This was no small achievement. Lets start from there. Not paste and copy bwana. This is called cheating or theft of an idea. Meanwhile , the substance is left behind and what you are running with is the wind.
Politics! Smooth tongues but when placed on the spot to explain the how suddenly there are no answers We need the whole story. How will you do it?
