Mporokoso Member of Parliament Honorable Brian Mundubile says political differences must be settled through dialogue and not using the justice system to victimize and persecute opponents that have differed politically.

Hon Mundubile said this after Vising incarcerated Hon Bowman Lusambo, Francis Muchemwa, Shebby Chilekwa and Geoffrey Bwalya Mwamba among others at Mwembeshi Maximum Correctional Center today.

He was in the company of Hon Mulenga Fube Mp, Hon Mutotwe Kafwaya MP and Hon George Chisanga MP.

Hon Mundubile said the incarcerated politicians have been jailed because they differed with the UPND Government on political matters.

He said the cases of Hon Ronald Chitotela and Hon Nickson Chilangwa makes sad reading.

Hon Mundubile has called upon President Hakainde Hichilema to take deep reflection on these matters and view them from Citizens perspectives.

“I think political differences must be settled through dialogue and not using the justice system to victimize people that have differed politically. Our call is that the President should take it upon himself and put on a different lens so that he feels how we feel when we see our friends go there yet we know they do not deserve to be there. We took time to see Bowman Lusambo, Francis Muchemwa and many others.

Let President Hichilema put on the lens of the Zambian people to understand what they think about these incarcerations. When you look at what happened in KAWAMBWA RESULTED Into these convictions makes sad reading, how do the people from kabushi feel. From the beginning, Bowman Lusambo lost a seat out of unfairness and manipulated the system……,” said Hon Mundubile.

And Hon Mundubile has noted that the political landscape has changed completely and has become worse.

He said that while politics must change, there is need to love lead.

“It has never been seen before that MPs out of small misunderstandings may end up in prison like this. There were differences in the past, we never saw a member of parliament losing his seat out of a political misunderstanding as the case may be in Hon chitotela and Hon chilangwa. President Hichilmea, the Zambians expected you to change the dimension of politics.

The case of chitotela, Bowman, Chilangwa, Shabby Chilekwa are coming out of political differences and must be settled through dialogue,” he said.

Meanwhile, Lukashya MP Hon George Chisanga said there is a difference on how the justice system treats members of the UPND and the opposition stressing the need for a better Zambia.

“The men are in high spirit despite being incarcerated and fighting for their innocence, they have encouraged us to continue focusing on their innocence.  We come here at a time even the USA has raised issues of human rights profile in this country.  They have called this government to pay particular attention to ensure that people enjoy their guaranteed rights including what is enshrined in article 18 of the constitution………… We came here to strengthen our colleagues. We know what they are going through. We are hopeful that a brighter day always comes.
