1. The winning candidate was not qualified to contest the election.
2. The winning candidate was legally disqualified from being elected.
3. Bribery or vote buying took place and affected the election.
4. Intimidation or violence affected voters’ ability to freely choose their preferred candidate.
5. Corrupt or illegal practices were committed by the winning candidate or their agents
6. Serious electoral irregularities occurred during voting, counting, tallying or declaration of results.
7. Electoral laws and procedures were substantially breached in a way that affected the election.
8. Voters were prevented from freely expressing their choice because of illegal practices, corruption or serious misconduct.
9. The irregularities materially affected the result or undermined the validity of the election.
MORE IMPORTANTLY;
A minor mistake or administrative error does not automatically nullify an election. The petitioner must provide credible evidence showing that the breach was serious enough to affect the election or its result.
