SOUTH KOREA MOVES CLOSER TO POSSIBLE HORMUZ DEPLOYMENT

South Korea has sent an inspection team to the United Arab Emirates to assess the security situation around the Strait of Hormuz as Seoul considers both military and non-military options to help protect freedom of navigation.

No final decision has been made to deploy South Korean troops, but Seoul is actively reviewing its options amid growing pressure from the United States.

Iran has already issued a warning, saying any South Korean military presence in the Gulf or around Hormuz would be viewed as support for U.S. “aggression” and could have serious consequences.

With tensions between Washington and Tehran already escalating, any South Korean military involvement could further widen the conflict and draw another major regional actor into the crisis.

🌍 The Strait of Hormuz is increasingly becoming one of the world’s most dangerous strategic flashpoints.
