SP President Dr Fred M’membe Calls on Zambians to Embrace a Fresh Start

Socialist Party (SP) President Dr Fred M’membe has called on Zambians to embrace a fresh start on 13 August 2026 by voting for the Socialist Party and its candidates.
Speaking at a rally in Chifunabuli District, Luapula Province, Dr M’membe said Zambia needs a new direction that puts the interests, dignity and welfare of ordinary citizens at the centre of national development.
Dr M’membe said a Socialist Party government would be committed to restoring dignity to the working class and transforming the country’s economy so that its benefits reach millions of Zambians, rather than being concentrated among a politically connected few.
He said Zambia has enormous potential and resources, but that these must be harnessed to create jobs, improve living standards and provide better opportunities for citizens across the country.
Dr M’membe urged the people of Chifunabuli to use their vote to demand meaningful change by supporting the Socialist Party and its candidates in the August 13 elections.
Dr M’membe further urged Zambians to remain peaceful and participate in the electoral process, saying the August 13 election presents an opportunity for citizens to determine the future direction of the country.
