SPEAKER SWEARS IN 40 PR MPs
Speaker of the National Assembly Nelly Mutti has sworn in 40 elected Members of Parliament (MPs) under the Mixed Member Proportional Representation system.
The MPs comprise 20 women, 15 youths and five persons with disabilities. The swearing‑in ceremony took place at the National Assembly Chamber in Lusaka today.
Speaker Mutti congratulated the parliamentarians and welcomed them to the First Session of the 14th National Assembly, scheduled to commence on October 2, 2026.
