The Zambia Airports Corporation Limited (ZACL) has urged air travellers to arrive earlier than usual as heightened airport security measures are expected to cause longer waiting times.
In a media statement issued in Lusaka on Friday, October 9, 2026, the corporation apologised for any inconvenience caused by the enhanced screening procedures, saying they are necessary to protect passengers, airport users, staff and airport operations.
Passengers travelling on international flights are advised to arrive at least three hours before departure, while those on domestic flights should arrive at least two hours early.
ZACL has encouraged travellers to plan ahead and allow enough time for check-in, security screening and other departure formalities.
