Tanzania’s President Samia mourns Wicknell Chivayo
Tanzanian President Samia Suluhu Hassan has expressed her condolences following the death of Zimbabwean businessman Wicknell Chivayo, his wife Lucy and three other people in a helicopter crash in Marondera.
In a condolence message, President Samia said she was deeply saddened by the tragedy, describing Chivayo as a young and visionary entrepreneur who had touched the lives of many people.
“On behalf of the Government and the people of the United Republic of Tanzania,” she conveyed her deepest condolences to President Emmerson Mnangagwa, the Chivayo family, the families of all the victims and the people of Zimbabwe.
She said Zimbabwe and Africa had lost a young entrepreneur and prayed for the souls of those who died to rest in peace.
“May their souls rest in peace. Amen.”
