The 2 Vital Straits Totally Under The Control Of Iran!
Iran controls the Strait of Hormuz, and through their proxy in Yemen, the Houthis, the Bab Al-Mandeb Strait in the Red Sea ! If these 2 Straits are closed, the flow of oil from the Persian Gulf stops! As simple as that!
What can American military hardware do? Her aircraft carriers have proven to be useless in this conflict. One of the carriers – George HW Bush dare not even enter the theatre of war by going through the Suez Canal, down the Red Sea, before going to the Persian Gulf, because of the threat from the Houthis in the Red Sea. It took a long detour around the Cape of Good Hope to get to the Gulf of Oman, demonstrating once again the impotence of the aircraft carriers in modern warfare.
When I look at this map, I am reminded of the brilliant book written by Robert Kaplan- The Revenge of Geography. Geography, more than any other factor determines the destiny of a Nation, and its potential for Greatness and influence in the world.
America has lost this war and the Strait of Hormuz. Several weeks ago i wrote a post in which I said that history will record that in 2026, America lost a Strait and her empire. How prophetic those words have turned out to be.
