The biggest mistake Brian Mundubile made was to hide at the UN offices.
I am not saying this to laugh at a man who is down. I am saying it because I believe in him. I saw a clear vision of his rise to power – and because it is moments like these that show us what a leader is truly made of.
With all due respect, the hardest lesson Brian Mundubile may take from this season is simple: the day you run to hide at the UN offices, right in the middle of the fight that could make your name, is the day you lose the fight.
Because you do not run at a time like this. You stay. You face the music, and you dance to it. The hard knocks you take in politics are the very things that build your story and your resume. A real leader does not flinch and vanish every time the police come knocking. If your hands are clean, stand your ground, lift your head, and fight for justice out in the open, wcrhere the people can see you
And let us be honest with each other. The same people who told him to go and hide may be the very ones who never wanted his petition to go through in time. Or maybe they just don’t understand how this game is played. Politics is chess, not a child’s game. Every move must be thought through, because the moment you blink, the moment you flinch, you have already lost.
And this is one of the reasons I always urge every leader, every man who holds power, to walk with a spiritual advisor and not only a political strategist. Because the strategist reads the political books, but he is often blind to the spiritual climate. He cannot read the season. He cannot feel the shift in the air. I say this because I saw it. I saw a clear vision of this man’s rise, and a vision like that does not come from studying political literature-it comes from a place the strategists cannot reach. A leader who listens only to men who read the news, but never to those who can read the times, will keep making the right move at the wrong hour.
Now think with me for a moment. Imagine if he had walked, head high, straight into that police station and handed himself over for questioning. Imagine if they had locked him up in these very days. Whatever excuse the state came up with, it would all have been seen as political persecution because of the timing of the arrest. This could have been the biggest break of his political career, and that could have been the moment his name was written into history. Because getting power is nothing like getting a college degree. You do not walk to the high table in comfort. You walk to it through fire.
Every leader worth following must be willing to suffer-for his people, for his beliefs, and for the things he says he stands for. He does not go running for safety and soft ground after more than a million and a half people stood in line, put an X next to his name, and said with their own hands, ‘This is the one we want to lead us.’ Those people did not vote for a man who hides. They voted for a man who stands like a warrior. And history only remembers the ones who were brave enough to stand.

You are right.And he and his friend can just go and report themselves to police.The idea of hiding can just create some suspicion of guilty.
Only the guilty are afraid! Understanding times and seasons indeed is significant, and determines how one must react!
I agree witht he author of this article. Mr. Mundubike and his running mate, Mr. Zulu made a catastrophic mistake by hiding under the UN rock when they were needed most by their people.
This was a defining moment and the chose the easy way out, showing that hey are not worth folowing. Yes , the trauma of Mr. Mundubile watching his friend shot is real but that is the more reason he should have stood his ground.
The picture imaging is that these PF gentlemen are loudmouthed but lack courage. They shout thay they cannot be intimidated but at the slightest sign of danger they flee like frightened rabbits.
Mr. Mpundu is hiding under a rock, Mr. Mwamba is broadcasting from a safe distance, Mr. Kaiser Zulu made a disappearing act and so did Emmanual Jay Jay Banda and Kambwili though he was nabbed and brought back. Mr. Zimba is also at large after attempting to run and got an immigration official in trouble.
I mean, who wants to run with such a crowd who, when push comes to shove, run away?

As grown up men with 5 senses and families, these chaps knew exactly what they were doing.
There was no mistake being made. They were in the process of a well planned, but poorly executed goal to gain political power by dubious means, that failing by bearing arms against a democratically elected government.
TREASON.
The hiding merely represents them being caught. They do not regret their actions. They regret getting caught. That is why they are in hiding. If they were remorseful, they would hand themselves willingly to security wings.
The allegations of a militia are yet to be proven. Let’s see if the state’s assertions will stand in the courts of law.
Personally, I am skeptical. I doubt they were planning an armed insurrection. They may have been armed to defend themselves.
