When we examine the track records of the current opposition presidential aspirants, the gap between President Hakainde Hichilema and jokers is VERY VERY just WIDE.
The uncomfortable truth that some opposition members refuse to acknowledge is that among all those currently jostling for the highest office, none possess the credentials, the proven performance and the transformational leadership that President Hichilema has demonstrated.
President Hichilema has stabilized an economy that was on life support. He has re-engaged international partners, secured debt restructuring and restored fiscal discipline.
While others talk about what they would do, he has actually done it, navigating the country through a difficult global economic environment with steady hands.
Where are the comparable achievements from his competitors? What major economic turnaround have they spearheaded? What international credibility do they bring? What track record of building institutions and creating opportunities exists in their portfolios?
The answer is painfully clear: NONE.
Let us not be cheated by promises from those who have never been tested at the level of President Hakainde Hichilema.
President Hichilema has delivered on free education, revived agriculture through farmer support programs and restored confidence in our governance systems.
His challengers may have ambition but ambition without a track record is simply noise. They may wear some suits to appear like they are not criminals but suits without competence cannot move a nation forward.
To my fellow Zambians, when you enter that voting booth on 13th August, 2026, do not be blinded by tribal appeals or empty promises. Demand evidence. Demand performance. Demand proof.
President Hakainde Hichilema has earned the right to lead through decades of building, through sacrifice, through resilience and through tangible results. His competitors have not.
The one capable of challenging his record is not yet born and that is not arrogance, it is simply the truth.
Let us vote for what has been proven, not what is merely promised.
