THOSE APPOINTED BY HICHILEMA HAVE GONE QUIET, THEY HAVE SENSED DEFEAT -HAPUNDA
Toonse Pamodzi Alliance member Brian Hapunda says people who were appointed to government positions by President Hakainde Hichilema have suddenly gone quiet because they have sensed defeat ahead of this year’s General Elections.
Hapunda says it is not surprising that President Hichilema appears to be campaigning largely on his own, arguing that those who previously stood behind him have now gone silent because they believe he is heading for defeat.
Posting on his Facebook page, Hapunda says President Hichilema has become so unpopular that even some of the people who benefited from appointments under his administration are no longer openly supporting his campaign.
He says the absence of former ministers and other senior government officials from Hichilema’s campaign activities is a clear indication that they already know the President is losing the elections.
Hapunda has further predicted that once Hichilema leaves office, the UPND will struggle to survive, arguing that the party and its leader have become inseparable.
“Have you noticed that those people that Hakainde Hichilema gave jobs to under his administration have all of a sudden gone quiet? There is no single former minister supporting or campaigning for him. They have sensed defeat, and that is why they are not campaigning for him. He is alone in these campaigns,” Hapunda observed.
He further stated: “Once Hakainde Hichilema is defeated in this year’s General Elections, that will be the end of UPND. UPND will be a dead party because Hakainde is UPND and UPND is Hakainde.”

The people you are talking about Mr Hapunda are busy campaigning in the constituencies for themselves, councilors and president.The President cannot move with the aspiring candidates in all corners of the country,it does not make campaign sense.

It worries me very much when a person like Mr. Hapunda who are supposed to understand the game of politics doesn’t seem to. This coming election is already won by HH and the UPND. Numbers are not on the side of NRPUP-Tonse alliance whatever you call them. Numerical advantage is on UPND like it or not. Just the very thought of panga wielding chaps in bus stations and markets makes it even worse. Peace in our land is of paramount importance.

The elections are 5 days away…..Let’s wait and see whether imingalato will work . What is this announcement from ECZ that they will start announcing results by the 17th ? When did this ever happen in Zambian that you start announcing elections 4 days after voting ? And here you are here minions without senses of your own supporting and defending the undefendable. The teachers you are so proud to have recruited you are taking them to schools built by ECL. The nurses you are so proud to have recruited , you are taking them to hospital and, mini hospitals and clinics built by ECL. Ba UPND abashili Ba Pompwe show us what you have done in the last 5 years apart from introducing Cyber law to oppress the opposition and people with dissenting views The debt restructuring you sing about is not something to be proud of because what it means is that HH went to the people we owed and told them that I can’t afford to pay , my children can’t afford to pay. Can we extend this debt so that even my grand children can help in paying this debt? And you are dancing about debt restricting? The country is putting your grand children in debt through debt restructuring and you are dancing about it. That’s being irresponsible. Zambia has enough resources to generate income and pay our debt on schedule without restructuring. But you have irresponsible presidents like HH , who ask the country to pay for his security and install security systems at his private home in New Kasama when there is a State House where every President of Zambia has lived. The money we spend on Community House could be used in other things to make a difference in the lives of Zambians . The opposition think making a lot of noise is what wins elections. Noooo. It is strategy. Sometines you can make so much noise you begin to believe your lie.
Remember Bill 7? From the noise the opposition and some Catholic bishops made one would have believed that the bill would not go through parliament. But it did. With an incredible 85% of the vote. I get a sense of deja vu in the coming elections.
@JMC you calling buying MPs to support a bill which was declared illegal by the courts of law a Strategy ? Are you serious ? Bill 7 coming back to the floor was flawed man. Talk about something else. Firing all those who did not agree with you over bill 7 , you call that strategy and when things get harder you secretly go back to the very people you fired in public saying let’s reconcile ? HH has been approaching the people he fired over Bill 7 asking them to come back so that they can reconcile e.g Samakayi of North Western Province. It’s all there on public record that HH has been approaching these people asking them to come back. Is that what you call strategy ? And you wonder why HH is losing elections next week ? Get serious guys , you can be better than this

If the bill was declared illegal, why was its progression in parliament not challenged in the same courts?
