*THOSE WHO EMBRACE CHANGE EASILY GRAB OPPORTUNITIES AND MOVE ON*

“Change is inevitable. Growth is optional.”

Growth is a choice, and that people can develop and grow by taking initiative and pushing themselves outside of their comfort zone.

Sometimes we don’t even have to make a decision for change to happen. It can happen with or without our consent. Growth is what is optional, it only happens with our consent and when we make the decision to grow.

In our political circles today,we still have individuals who have refused to accept change of government that took place on 12 August 2021.The consequences of their denial is written all over their faces for anyone to see, most of them it is really taking a toll on both their personal health as well as affecting their family welfare too.
This resistance to accept that the political landscape changed in 2021, is clouding their rational judgement leading them to see wrong in every right government decision and to see right in their own decisions and conduct. They’re seeing Zambia through their lenses which through their own misguided belief, they strongly believe every citizen is wearing similar and common lenses and also seeing Zambia from their perspective.

It is this misjudgment that is making them blind from seeing or rather accepting whatever deliverables the current government has done in three years so far.

It is this same resistance that is convincing them to start thinking that every reasonable citizen regrets voting for that change in 2021 and that given another chance, they’d reverse their votes.

This resistance can also be found in workplaces.
People can grow alongside change professionally by taking on new challenges, seeking out opportunities, and pushing their boundaries.

Similarly in relationships,
growth requires both people to be committed to emotional and spiritual growth.

It’s quite simple: in life the places you live and the people you know will inevitably change. You will change as an individual throughout the years, but how you develop and grow as a matter of personal professional growth,is up to you. That is when your own initiative and passion come into play.

Sure, change is inevitable in life. But you only truly grow when you seek the opportunities that seem unreachable or seek a new challenge that seems impossible to overcome. So grab a hold of those opportunities and don’t ever let go. Embrace change, opportunities and work towards growth.Resistance to change and stagnation in growth, usually come in the same package.

Imagine a person walking into their local gym and saying to a personal trainer, ” I want to get stronger, more flexible, and overall just get in better shape.” The trainer would, of course, respond that they could help with that. Now imagine, the person added, “And I would like to receive these results without having to work at it, without feeling any discomfort as part of the process.”
It is easy to see that this is not going to work.

When it comes to relationships, if the two individuals in the relationship want the feelings of love without committing to the decision to do the work, it is bound to fail. All significant relationships require both people committing to working on the relationship, in order for it to grow and mature.
Let me conclude by appealing to the greater mass to help our colleagues who are grappling with accepting change to realise that resistance to change, can negatively change them or kill them,
