LIVE UPDATE | HEROES STADIUM

Thousands of people have already started arriving at the National Heroes Stadium in Lusaka ahead of the inauguration ceremony of the President-elect of the Republic of Zambia, Mr. Hakainde Hichilema, and Vice-President-elect Mrs. Mutale Nalumango.
As early as 04:30 today, Tuesday the 1st, Zambians from all walks of life were already gaining access to Heroes Stadium.
The historic swearing-in ceremony is taking place today, Tuesday, 1 September 2026, at National Heroes Stadium.
The day has been declared a public holiday to allow Zambians to witness the occasion.
