THREE CHIEFS EXPECTED TO MEET FAITH MUNTHALI AHEAD OF COURT SESSION
Three traditional leaders from Mafinga District—Chief Muyombe, Chief Mwenechifungwe and Chief Mwenewisi—are expected to meet Mafinga South Member of Parliament Faith Munthali ahead of her court appearance in Isoka.
The three Chiefs are understood to be concerned about the developments surrounding their daughter and the wider situation currently unfolding in Mafinga District.
The traditional leaders are expected to visit Ms. Munthali, who has reportedly been unwell, and offer their support as she faces the ongoing legal proceedings.
The meeting is also expected to provide an opportunity for the Chiefs to appeal for dialogue and a peaceful resolution to the situation, with the traditional leadership seeking to engage the relevant authorities and other stakeholders in the interest of maintaining peace and unity in the district.
