TONSE ALLIANCE TWAPIA RALLY HANGS IN BALANCE AS HEAVY POLICE PRESENCE SURROUNDS VENUE
The Tonse Pamodzi Alliance public rally slated for Twapia grounds in Ndola this afternoon remains in limbo following reports that police intend to stop the alliance presidential candidate Brian Mundubile and his team from proceeding for allegedly breaching the agreed campaign programme.
According to police sources, Mr. Mundubile had earlier conducted a roadshow in Chifubu, which attracted large crowds and caused traffic congestion, when the alliance was cleared to hold rallies only in Masaiti and at Twapia Grounds.
Meanwhile, thousands of supporters have gathered at Twapia Grounds, despite heavy police presence who have now taken over the stage.
