TOONSE ALLIANCE STRUGGLING TO GAIN GROUND IN RURAL ZAMBIA, SAYS NASON MSONI.
Opposition politician Nason Msoni says the Tonse Pamodzi Alliance which is the Patriotic Front (PF) is facing an uphill battle to regain support in rural Zambia, arguing that many communities have embraced the development programmes introduced by the UPND government.
Speaking after his recent travels across the country, Msoni said the former ruling party has failed to rebuild a strong grassroots presence.
He attributed this to government initiatives such as the Social Cash Transfer programme and the Constituency Development Fund (CDF), which he says have had a visible impact on people’s lives.
According to Msoni, many rural residents told him they are witnessing levels of development and empowerment they had not experienced since independence.
He further stated that the opposition’s biggest challenge is its failure to present a convincing alternative policy agenda.
Instead, he said, its campaign has been dominated by confrontational rhetoric, intimidation and political aggression rather than practical solutions to the country’s challenges.
Msoni also warned that many voters still remember the political violence associated with previous election periods, saying those memories continue to influence public opinion.
He concluded that unless the opposition shifts its focus towards credible policies and a more constructive campaign strategy, it will find it difficult to expand its support base ahead of the upcoming general elections.

I saw this way before and I wrote about it.It is good that my elder brother Mr N.Musoni has now understood that fact practically.
Msoni Msoni Msoni. How many times did I call you? Ba Msoni ma politics are not for the faint hearted. Leave them to strong bulls like HH and see how they annihilate tu ma small boys like Mundubile and Makebi. Welcome to reality big boy though you’re too late we wont give you any kapoto
Hahaha …. Great that you are NOW seeing what ZAMBIA is doing..
Especially FREE EDUCATION. It has a GREAT impact in the rural Zambia.
Great ba Musoni has noticed what we have all been saying.
Am so excited to hear Mr Msoni approving the strides UPND has so far achieved. We used to tell them that, the rural community was neglected by PF and has been heavily embraced by UPND through CDF which allows them to decide what type of development they wanted. We’ve seen construction of schools with ablution blocks, maternity wards with running water reticulation, teacher’s houses with solar-power in typical remote areas, enhanced Social Cash transfer, food for work, free education, police stations, desks in schools, school feeding program….etc.
Opposition are finding it hard to tell the communities that UPND had done nothing when they are seeing the development which some say never seen since 1964.
Mwashininkisha nomba bane, Hakainde wakuleka fye. Imagine you are paying a courtesy call to a Chief and you meet in a new palace which HH has built him, do you think that Chief will listen to you? No ways. What can you tell him which HH hasn’t done? That’s how a visionary leader works, whilst in opposition, he already knew what to do to Chiefs, to farmers, to students, to Miners, to retirees, Civil Servants, Defence and Security Men, the list is endless. Those who were saying that HH won through lies, they are the ones who are lying now and no one listens to them. Don’t waste your vote by voting for opposition, on 13th August, vote for HH and UPND for continuity and development.
Is that Nason Msoni? I wonder. Msoni you are welcome to say whatever makes you happy. There is no news there. We knew that a long time ago. Your bitterness and hate has finally humbled you. Your politics are very raw bwana, however we are happy you have come out publicly with your confession. We want peace in our land. No pangas, you get what I mean. Vote for HH and UPND.
