TRUMP CRITICIZES IRANIAN OFFICIALS AS WASHINGTON SEEKS TO RESTART TALKS

President Donald Trump sharply criticized some Iranian officials, accusing them of “hiding like rats” as Washington seeks to revive negotiations with Tehran.

The remarks were reported Sunday, September 20, by Fox News correspondent Trey Yingst following a conversation with the U.S. president.

Trump reportedly said the United States was facing difficulties identifying Iranian officials with enough authority to negotiate and ultimately reach an agreement with Washington.

Despite his criticism, Trump said he remained open to meeting Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian.

The U.S. president also indicated that multiple options remained under consideration, ranging from diplomatic negotiations to further military escalation.

His comments come amid ongoing efforts to determine whether Washington and Tehran can return to negotiations while tensions between the two countries remain high.
