TRUMP EXPOSES ILHAN OMAR’S LAWYER-SCRIPTED DODGE ON THE BROTHER MARRIAGE QUESTION

President Trump just laid out the truth about Ilhan Omar’s infamous “not to my knowledge” answer when asked if she married her brother. Speaking at a rally, Trump made clear that the response was not some honest moment of uncertainty. It was a carefully crafted legal dodge fed to her by lawyers who knew exactly how to keep her from committing perjury while still avoiding a straight answer.

Trump put it plainly: “That’s a LEGAL answer. The LAWYERS said answer it that way.” He then imitated the advice Omar’s attorneys gave her: “If they ask you that question, say ‘to the best of my knowledge’ and then give any answer you want.” According to Trump, once she delivered that line, the questioning effectively ended. The lawyers had given her the script, and she stuck to it.

This is the same Ilhan Omar who has faced years of questions about whether she entered into a marriage with her brother to help him obtain U.S. immigration benefits.

Omar has repeatedly denied the allegation, but her carefully worded “not to my knowledge” response has never satisfied critics who note how unusual and evasive that phrasing is for such a basic question about her own family. Trump’s point is simple: when someone needs lawyers to coach them on how to answer whether they married their own brother, the public has every right to keep asking questions.

The video from the rally shows Trump calling out the legal gamesmanship for what it is. In his telling, Omar didn’t simply say she didn’t know because she truly didn’t.

She said it because her lawyers told her that was the safest way to shut down further inquiry without exposing herself to additional legal risk. For many Americans watching, that explanation only deepens the suspicion surrounding the original allegations rather than putting them to rest.
