Trump Hammers Zelensky: Ukraine Had Millions More Troops, Should Have Cut a Deal Years Ago
President Trump unloaded on the stalled Ukraine war, pointing out the massive manpower disadvantage Ukraine faced from the start and slamming the decision to reject earlier peace offers.
“Millions more soldiers on one side than the other,” Trump said. “I think it would have been smart if he would have made a deal two years ago, he would have been a lot better off.”
A reporter noted that Ukraine “could have made a much better deal two years ago” and asked what Putin said in a recent phone call.
Trump replied, “He’d like to see a settlement. President Putin would like to see a settlement strongly. And look, he’s freeing up a lot of oil for the world, okay? That’s a good thing. And by the way, at a very low price.”
