Trump Says He “Doesn’t Like” Zelenskyy, Accuses Him of Blocking a Peace Deal

US President Donald Trump has sharply criticized Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, saying he “doesn’t like” him and accusing him of not genuinely seeking a peace agreement with Russia.

Trump reportedly condemned Zelenskyy over Ukraine’s renewed strikes on Russian oil refineries, arguing that the attacks could contribute to higher global oil prices.

“Zelenskyy is not a good guy. It’s a shame. All he wants is to drive up the price of oil. He makes it look like he wants a deal, but he wants the opposite. In reality, I don’t like him very much,” Trump said.

The comments mark another escalation in Trump’s public criticism of the Ukrainian leader as Washington continues to push for an end to the war

Trump’s remarks also highlight growing tensions over Ukraine’s strategy of targeting Russian energy infrastructure, which Kyiv has defended as part of its effort to weaken Moscow’s war effort.

The latest comments are likely to further intensify the political dispute between Washington and Kyiv over how and on what terms the war should end.
