U.S. President Donald Trump told Real America’s Voice that Iran’s economic situation is continuing to deteriorate, claiming that the country is facing extremely high inflation and a sharp decline in the value of its currency.
Trump claimed that Iran’s inflation has reached 300%, although that figure was not independently verified in his remarks.
He also alleged that Tehran is struggling to pay members of its armed forces.
“They’re not paying their soldiers, and the soldiers are leaving.”
Trump said the United States would continue to maintain economic pressure on Iran, arguing that the pressure is worsening the country’s financial difficulties.
