Trump Tells Black, Jewish Voters They’re ‘Not Smart’ If They Vote For El-Sayed
President Donald Trump told Black and Jewish voters that they are “not smart” if they vote for Democrat Abdul El-Sayed during his Friday evening rally in Florida.
“If you’re Black or Jewish and you vote for Abdul, you’re not smart,” the president said of the Michigan Senate race. “I’m being nice.”
The bigoted comment came after Trump repeatedly and falsely referred to El-Sayed as a “jihadist.”
El-Sayed’s opponent, GOP nominee Mike Rogers, and other Republicans, have repeatedly lobbed Islamophobic attacks at the Democrat, attempting to tie him to violent extremist groups.
