Trump Threatens Strong Military Response Against Iran, Says “It’s Our Turn”
U.S. President Donald Trump issued a fresh warning to Iran, saying the United States is preparing a forceful response following recent hostilities between the two countries.
Speaking to reporters, Trump said Iran had been warned about the consequences of its actions but continued its attacks. “We are going to hit them very hard, because it’s our turn,” he said, adding that Iranian officials “know it’s going to happen” and are “begging us not to do it.”
The president also claimed that five high-speed rockets, which he said were traveling at approximately 13,700 km/h, were intercepted during a recent attack. Despite the interceptions, Trump argued that Iran’s actions justified a U.S. response.
While emphasizing the prospect of military action, Trump left open the possibility of future diplomacy, saying, “We’ll see if we can reach an agreement one day, but we are going to hit them very hard.”
The remarks come amid heightened tensions between Washington and Tehran, with concerns growing that further military exchanges could deepen instability across the Middle East. Neither the White House nor Iranian officials immediately provided additional details regarding Trump’s claims.
