TWO RUSSIAN Su-35S FIGHTERS REPORTEDLY COLLIDE OVER KURSK

Two Russian Su-35S multirole fighters reportedly collided in the air over Russia’s Kursk region, according to the Russian military-aviation channel Fighterbomber.

The cause of the incident is under investigation. It remains unclear whether either pilot ejected, whether there were fatalities or whether both aircraft were completely destroyed. Russia’s Defense Ministry has not yet publicly confirmed the collision.

The Su-35S is a single-seat fighter and one of the most advanced combat aircraft Russia operates in significant numbers. It is used for air-superiority missions, escorting strike aircraft and launching weapons against Ukrainian targets.

If both aircraft are confirmed lost, this would represent an exceptionally costly self-inflicted blow to Russia’s tactical aviation—two valuable fighters removed without Ukraine needing to fire a missile

For now, the collision should be treated as a credible Russian report awaiting visual or official confirmation.
