U.S. ADMINISTRATION THREATENS ICC WITH BROAD SANCTIONS OVER NETANYAHU ARREST WARRANT
The U.S. administration has reportedly threatened to impose sweeping sanctions on the International Criminal Court (ICC) in response to arrest warrants issued for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu over alleged crimes in Gaza.
The administration reportedly vowed to take punitive measures against ICC officials and institutions involved in the case, escalating Washington’s confrontation with the court.
The ICC has accused Netanyahu and former Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Gallant of alleged war crimes and crimes against humanity in connection with Israel’s military operations in Gaza. Israel rejects the allegations and disputes the court’s jurisdiction.
