U.S. Says Strait of Hormuz Is Fully Open, Urges Ships to Transit Without Fear of Iran

The United States has reportedly announced that the Strait of Hormuz is fully open, urging commercial vessels not to fear Iranian threats and to resume transit through the strategic waterway.

A spokesperson for U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) reportedly stated that 95% of vessels had successfully passed through the strait, with hundreds of ships navigating the route without incident.

The spokesperson also claimed that the United States and its regional partners maintain control of the waterway, adding that American forces remain prepared to respond to potential Iranian threats.

The Strait of Hormuz is a critical global energy corridor, and any disruption to shipping through the waterway could have significant consequences for international oil supplies and energy prices.
