U.S. Soldiers Reportedly Raise Moral Objections to War in Iran

American soldiers are reportedly speaking out against the war in Iran, questioning its moral justification and expressing concerns over the legality of certain military orders.

The reported bombing of a girls’ school, which allegedly killed 165 civilians most of them children at the beginning of the conflict has reportedly left a deep emotional impact on some service members.

According to claims attributed to the Center on Conscience & War, applications for conscientious objector status have increased by 1,000%.

Some U.S. military personnel reportedly say they no longer want to participate in the conflict, citing concerns about potentially unlawful orders and the moral dilemmas created by the Trump administration’s foreign policy.

The reports highlight growing questions within the military over the conduct of the war and the obligations of service members who believe their participation conflicts with their conscience.
