UGANDA: Uganda Bans Alcohol Sales Before 3PM on Weekdays and to Anyone Under 18
Uganda has introduced new government measures aimed at curbing early morning drinking and boosting productivity.
Under the directive, bars and other alcohol outlets must remain closed before 3PM on working days. The Ministry of Local Government has also imposed an immediate ban on selling alcohol to anyone under 18
Local authorities and security agencies have been instructed to enforce the rules strictly. Offenders whether individuals or establishments face sanctions, including possible closure.
