UK Foreign Secretary Ed Miliband Warns Iran Against Hostile Activity on British Soil
Amid reports that Iran 🇮🇷 could potentially target European territory 🇪🇺 if the conflict escalates, British Foreign Secretary Ed Miliband reportedly held a private conversation with his Iranian counterpart, Abbas Araghchi, on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly.
Miliband told Araghchi that the United Kingdom 🇬🇧 “will not tolerate any intimidation, threats or hostile activity on British soil.”
He also urged Tehran to prioritize “de-escalation and diplomacy” amid the ongoing conflict and called on Iran to support the reopening of the Strait of Hormuz, a critical global shipping and energy route.
The reported exchange comes as European governments remain concerned about the conflict spreading beyond the Middle East and potentially affecting European security.
