UK TRIPLE MURDER CASE: NDODANA FIREARM CASE IN SA POSTPONED
Ndodana Mkhanyisi Tshuma, the British-Zimbabwean man wanted in the United Kingdom over the alleged murders of his wife and two daughters, is expected to plead guilty to a South African charge of unlawful possession of a firearm when he appears in court in South Africa in September.
His firearm case on Thursday has reportedly been postponed to 8 September 2026, while he remains in custody. The local firearm matter is separate from the extradition proceedings being pursued by UK authorities.
Tshuma was arrested in Kensington, Johannesburg, on 10 July, following an international manhunt. Police allegedly found him in possession of an unlicensed 9mm firearm and ammunition. He subsequently abandoned his bail application.
UK authorities want Tshuma extradited to face three murder charges over the deaths of his wife, Nothabo Zandile Tshuma, 42, and their daughters, Natalie, 15, and Nala, 5, whose bodies were found at their home in Great Denham, Bedfordshire, in July. Post-mortem examinations found that the three victims died from blunt-force trauma.
The South African firearm proceedings and the UK extradition process are being handled separately, with Tshuma remaining in custody as authorities work through the legal procedures.
