UKA TO FUNDRAISE MONEY FOR HON JEAN CHISENGA

28/03/2024

The United Kwacha Alliance, UKA, has resolved to fundraise money for Hon. Jean Chisenga, Member of Parliament for Mambilima Constituency who has been suspended today for calling President Hakainde Hichilema a liar.

As United Kwacha Alliance, UKA we believe that Hon. Chisenga was on firm ground to call President Hichilema a liar, because she was only expressing herself on behalf of many Zambians who hold the same view, that the President lied to them.

Among the many things Zambians feel lied to include;

1. Mealie meal at K50.
2. Fuel at K12
3. Affordable cost of living
4. Affordable electricity tariffs
5. 7 Bags of fertilizer each.
6. Constitutional amendments road map
7. Freedom of expression and association
8. No political violence
9. No political biased arrests
10. Corrupt free UPND Government
11. No cadres in markets and bus stations
12. Reduced Presidential foreign trips
13. Low cost of doing business
14. Return of Vedanta back to KCM
15. Removal of tax holidays for the mines
16. No political interference in the running of the courts and democratic institutions etc

UKA support and stands with the Mambilima lawmaker and urge the Speaker to conduct the house business without intimation. We further urge President Hichilema to apologise to the Zambian people on the many lies he told them when ascending to power.

UKA sadly notes that, Speaker Nelly Mutti, in 2 years, has presided over more suspensions than in the entire life of Parliament since 1964. Truth be told, when the President walks into Parliament, he becomes a Member of Parliament and not a stranger, to be called a dignitary.

Unfortunately, there is too much lack of understanding in the front bench and the management of the house. The Commonwealth Parliamentary procedures are being violated with impunity every day.

To demonstrate our support, UKA will spearhead the fundraising of Hon Chisenga’s monthly Parliament income during her suspension. We have already kick started the fundraising, K5,000 has already been raised.

We call on all UKA members, sympathisers, supporters and all Zambians that stand for justice and fairness to join this fundraising as a way to protect our growing democracy.

For your financial contributions kindly get in touch with the UKA secretariat on +260978773976 (Mobile Money Transactions).

May God bless our Nation and Happy Easter.

  1. This people in the UKWA bag are a disgrace to themselves and the nation.
They borrowed heavily from a multitude of institutions and left a mountain of debt

The failed to pay the kaloba ( they defaulted ) in November 2020 they even went to lie in Parliament that they have not defaulted even when they had already been.

They killed people in cold blood including nsama nsama. They burnt the money a government legal ( document ) tender .

The failed to pay farmers after getting their maize.
They failed to pay OMCs after getting fuel on credit amounting to US$750 or US$850

The stole government imoney n the day light by collecting revenue from the markets and bus stops the money that was supposed to be collected by the council for the period of more than 7 years just imagine these thieves, law breakers, criminals.

They spear headed a campaign of tribalism and regionism.

They gassed people and killed many.

What are they saying in UKWA bag sure shame on you

  2. You as UKWA are even sending this girl to parliament do that when she misbehaves and start being sarcastic and she is disciplined then you can even start fundraising to cover up for her non payment of allowances for her being suspended but since you send her ( it seems so or from the look of things because of what you are doing now ) then you can even start fundraising because she did your assignment.

Very abnormal and childish, the so called UKWA bags items .

  3. It is now evident that the young parliamentarian was indeed sponsored to misbehave on the head of state.Country men and women we shall be seeing similar actions from paid people up to 2026.They have planned it that way to campaign through discrediting UPND and it’s leadership. They don’t sleep they plan to cause havock day by day. They will differ very soon that is the way how things happen, they looted, plundered the economy ,borrowed carelessly in order to impoverish the country. They stole a lot and spent the money’s lavishly on young women both locally and abroad. You can imagine even to the extent of organizing young men to brutalise citizens, gassing people throughout the country.Zambia is just lucky that bally came on board and stopped them quickly or else those gangs would have turned out to be militiamen like what is happening in Haiti. So these propagandists, slanderers, the slewed they are regrouping and are coming in like amoebas. These people talk much about hanger yet they are always full to capacity belching noisily. They hide in the name of democracy, freedom of speech and start disturbing debates in parliament by coming with a lot of points of order to derail progress. They ought to be stopped, they have uncouth behaviour. The good thing is that people are able to listen and view them when they misbehave in the house, they disrespect the chair in parliament now what are the young people going to learn, these are shambles.

  4. Imboela skirting to attend court and there she was parading herself shamelessly. Be reminded that you once launched a fundraising crusade for your party but truth be told it was for you to buy brazillian-colombian hair.
Shameless lady a disgrace to the women. You and nawakwi can not exist together, PRIDE AND GREED

  5. These UKWAS are a nuisance of wildlife. How can they give kudos to such action. They only look at opposite wrong side of the coin.
True to day that opposition maturity is no longer in Parliament, if parliament sessions were not viewed in full will would have agreed with these UKWAS but we see what goes on live, you can stand on point of order with an intention of rebuking the ruling party presentation, sometimes with unparliamentary language ( we hear and see) then you expect the Speaker to allow misconduct? The same pei would have been saying ” where is the speaker?” I feel it is a bad moment for Speaker because this time around there are many young parliamentarians, we see the difference between mature elderly parliamentarians and the Munirs, Chisengas, Bandas…Ba Mundubile I may relate it to FRUSTRATION causing mild depression and out bursts. That is not the Mundubile I know. He is disciplined mature parliamentarian.

  6. MPs get monthly salaries of 40pin. And they they have the sitting allowance from parliament including being paid for lodging in lusaka.
Why should they raise money for her? She still has a salary! I would be impressed if they raised money to challenge the constitutionality of the speaker infringing on freedom of expression.
